Melissa Oliver

Assistant Vice President, Application Development

Melissa began her career at Assurant in 2008 as a Call Centre Supervisor. She transitioned into the Information Technology department in 2011, where she started as a Program Analyst and was later promoted to the Lead Business Analyst position, supporting various lines of business including Connected Living, Financial Services and Home Warranty. Since then, she has held various roles of increasing responsibility, including AVP of Technology and Business Solutions and Systems Director.

Prior to joining Assurant, Melissa worked for a Bell dealer where she had oversight over Operations and Sales. Melissa graduated from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Melissa is a proud supporter of hockey leagues and minor hockey teams in the Kingston area. She dedicates the winter months to volunteering in various capacities, including serving as the team manager for her kids' hockey teams and acting as a tournament convenor.
