Mr. Carter was elected to Assurant’s board of directors in July 2020. He formerly served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for T-Mobile US, Inc., with oversight for all of the company’s financial functions. He retired from that role on July 1, 2020. Mr. Carter was previously chief financial officer and vice chairman for MetroPCS Communications, Inc., until its acquisition by T-Mobile in 2013. He has also held senior finance leadership roles at PrimeCo Personal Communications, L.P. (now Verizon Wireless Inc.) and Neostar Retail Group, Inc. (now GameStop Corporation). Mr. Carter is a certified public accountant and serves as senior adviser for Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners and on the Board of Advisors for Tap Advisors.
