ATLANTA, Oct. 28, 2013—Assurant Solutions, a global provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products, today announces Chris Harrison will be appointed as President and CEO of its European businesses, subject to regulatory approval. Assurant Solutions provides mobile device protection and extended protection programs and services through industry leaders in North and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.
Harrison has served since April 2012 as CEO of Lifestyle Services Group - a leading provider of mobile device insurance in the United Kingdom. Assurant recently acquired LSG to broaden its footprint in the growing mobile protection market. A 25-year financial services executive, Chris has extensive experience in the insurance market and fast-moving mobile insurance and services space. Prior to joining Lifestyle Services Group, Harrison served as Chief Executive of ACE Group's Combined Insurance Europe division, where he was responsible for developing the business model and distribution strategies across the region. Harrison will assume the Assurant Solutions European leadership role from former European CEO Mike Balsley, who will return to an executive position in the United States.
